Q.What time does the event start ?

A. The half and full iron start at exactly the same time, 07:00am.

Q. What is the course ?

A. The course for the half is exactly the same as it was for the previous on the 26th July, I will be holding a pre race briefing at transition on Friday evening at 6:45pm for those who are unsure 🙂 The Full Iron course is 2 x the Half Iron Distance Course.

Q. Where is Transition ?

A. Transition is next to Carats Cafe, Basin Road, Shoreham

Q. How much is the race ?

A. As always, BTRS runs on donations, so there is no actual price, a minimum donation of £20 – £40 is normal, there will be goodie bags, polo shirts for finishers, and of course, medals.

Q. Will the bike and run course be supported with food and drink stations ?

A. The bike course is designed to bring you past transition several times, with a pull in for collecting supplies if required, the run course also passes transition several times, but there will be an extra drinks table at the 5k turn point on the run course.

Q. I’ve never done a half or full iron distance before, will this be suitable for me ?

A. 100% ! So long as your bike is road worthy and you have a good conditioned cycling helmet, you’re good to go, and complete the distance 🙂

Q. How long will the half take me to complete ?

A. There is no official cut off time for this event, so you can relax slightly, swim safe, cycle safe, and run like the wind !

I hope this helps with some of your questions

best, as always
