BTRS Winter Training Weekly training Structure Commencing Friday 23rd October 2015.
Hi guys, here is the BTRS weekly training for the winter period, continuing right through until the end of March 2016.
Sunday 08:30am Winter Trail Run Series. 4 off road trails ran in sequence, timed, with the leaderboard for points ready for April Awards Afternoon. Subs £1
Monday REST DAY
Tuesday 06:05am Tuesday 10k Timed Run Subs £1
Tuesday 7:00pm Cycling For Softies, a social 20 mile flat ride mostly on seafront under cliff and cycle lanes, aimed at building winter mileage, bike handling skills/confidence, with hummous and carrots at the end ( malicious rumour we all end up at the fish and chip shop) this is simply not true ! Subs – please would you bring something for the homeless who are fed at 7:00pm at The Peace Statue where we meet.
Wednesday 7:00pm Dark Run Trails and Mystery Routes. We will cover some of the Trails from the Sunday Winter Trail Run Series, but we will also have mystery runs ( maximum around 10-12k) all in the dark as a group. Subs £1
Thursday 7:00pm Turbo Training Session 1hour of being shouted at by me to loud music to push the bicycle cardio fitness and leg strength. Based at Brighton Beach Bikes ( next to the Palace Pier) I have turbos to loan if you don’t have your own. Subs £3 to cover venue hire.
Friday 06:30am Intervals Run Session along Brighton and Hove Seafront. 1 hour of being shouted at and running intervals, to help understand your own personal threshold and 10k / 5k pace. Subs £1
Saturday 07:00am Long road bicycle ride (50 to 70 miles depending on weather at a set pace) or long mountain bike ride (25 to 40 miles socially) followed by short run off the bikes ( no more than 5k run off the bikes) Subs £2
Saturday 5:00pm 25m Dedicated Pool Swim Training. 1 hour with 1 lane for stroke technique including slow motion video analysis, and 3 lanes of being shouted at by me and pushing yourselves to swim smoother and faster. Subs £4 to cover pool hire.
So, plenty to have a go at smile emoticon subs are between £1 and £4 and the SAG Wagon is nearly always on hand for locking away valuables and for collecting broken bikes/athletes.
